After much deliberation, I finally settled on a new blog name. Recall that I seriously dislike the name of this blog. So, today I tried to set up my new blog on blogger and...my plan was foiled. Someone it already using the name! And they haven't posted in three months which sucks because, hey, if you're going to have MY blog address you better damn well use it!
My options now are too a) come up with a new name, b) use the same name but modify the address somewhat, c) use a different platform like wordpress or tumblr, or d) keep using this blog address and name.
I don't like any of these options.
Hrumph.

Truth #1
It is time to stop sewing and go to sleep when you realize that you screwed up your very first attempt ever at a Wonky Log Cabin block. The strip with the star is supposed to be my centre square. The brown fabric should have gone where the white strip is. I was not consistent in my direction when rotating 90 degrees.
The saving grace is that the fabrics look pretty together, don't you think?

Accident Alert! No WIP Wednesday
Ahem. There will be no WIP Wednesday this week because I am the ultimate klutz. It's true. My husband is constantly saying "oh Lisaleh" after I walk into a door, stub my toe on a piece of furniture that HAS NOT MOVED or trip on my own feet.
Last Friday, while cutting eggplant for dinner, I sliced open my baby finger. It hurt like a b@*#h! It also bled. A lot. So much that we called Telehealth Ontario to see if it needed to be treated. It did. I got three stitches. I was impressed by how quickly we were seen at emerg. I was in and out of there in less than three hours. I guess there weren't any major accidents or happenings that particular evening. My brother and sister in law were visiting and pulled together a lovely shabbat dinner for us based on what was left in progress in our kitchen. They rock!
The downside of stitches in my pinkie is that crafting (and typing for that matter!) is more difficult that usual. Not much is getting done around here.
Oh! I must go! Levi is making his poopy face! I hope your week has been more productive than mine.

Cheesecake Fail
This is what happens when your baby is screaming and you are rushing and you forget that the dish is HOT because you already put it in the oven to bake the crust and so after pouring the filling you burn yourself trying to just get the thing in the oven so you can pick up your child to STOP. THE. SCREAMING. ALREADY!
We won't be bringing cheesecake to brunch on Sunday.
